Transform
Hakea
Praying that Hakea Prison becomes a place of peace — where multitudes find Jesus, change their lives, and carry that change with them when they leave.
Transform Hakea is a movement of Christians from various churches, united in prayer for Hakea Prison — believing that God can bring genuine peace and transformation to a currently dark place.
We pray. We intercede. We welcome anyone who shares that hope to join us.
Weekly Prayer Gathering
Come and pray with us
Every Tuesday, Christians from across Perth gather at Hakea Prison's Visitor's Centre to pray together — for the prison, for the men inside, for their families, for those who work there and for those who govern it. For real transformation to take root.
We warmly invite you to join us as we worship the Lord Jesus Christ. Have any needs? Please come. We would love to pray and bless you.
For those who can't get to our meetings, please contact us and a team will come to you.

Vision
A peaceful prison. Changed lives.
For God's glory.
“That Hakea be a peaceful prison where multitudes of inmates find Jesus, transform their lives, and go on to serve Christ.”
Our Aim
What we're working toward
That Jesus be welcomed as King of Hakea Prison.
That a thriving church be established in the prison where multitudes of inmates find Jesus and transform their lives.
That multitudes of these inmates go on to transform the environment they move to when they leave Hakea — whether another prison, or release into the community.
That the church in Hakea be a light in a dark place, bringing peace and a real reduction in anti-social behaviour.
Our Strategy
How we intend to get there
Establish a prayer network for ongoing intercession for Hakea Prison.
Work with chaplains and prison staff to establish a church within Hakea.
Support the church to conduct regular worship services, Bible studies, and baptisms.
Invite the head of Hakea Prison to a church service and ask them to formally invite Jesus into the prison (Rev 3:20).
Support believers leaving Hakea to carry that transformation into wherever they go next.
Open to All
Christians from every denomination are welcome here. What we hold in common — the faith expressed in the Apostles' Creed and a desire to see His grace reach inside Hakea Prison.
“In essentials, unity; in non-essentials, liberty; in all things, charity.”
In Partnership With

Prison Fellowship Australia
Transform Hakea works in collaboration with Prison Fellowship Australia — a national Christian organisation committed to restoring lives inside and outside prison through the love of Jesus Christ.
Together, we share a vision: that no one is beyond redemption, and that God's grace can reach into the darkest of places.
